Nancy's World

Great is His Faithfulness
By Nancy Collins

I have been very blessed this week. The apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:9 that "God is faithful, by whom we were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."  It has been said that we learn God's faithfulness by answering our calling to stay in fellowship with Jesus. We are called to stay in fellowship with Jesus. We are called to daily stay in connection with Him.

God is faithful. He never changes. He is no respecter of persons. He is impartial. He is everywhere. It always seems that one thought leads to another and He is in the midst. This leading has led to an invigoration in my spirit, mind, and body.

Yesterday, while I was watching a classic western on television, the Holy Spirit showed me a personal insight about what He had told me 31 years ago. This insight had several layers to it. It was comparable to seeing a hologram. He was showing me what I had wanted those years ago through what I was thinking about some of the western characters. I did not have, at that time, the full realization and understanding of His answer. Then He showed me His character by an instantaneous awareness of His Word. He showed me His personality, His character, His feelings. This was done all at one time. The answer that I had desired - even as young as I was then - was given in the answer He gave me many years later. And then! He showed me that what I had desired was His character, personality and feelings in the answer He had given me. That is why I am able to say my miracle and answer continues to this day! I live with His answer everyday!

Another example. Several years ago, the Holy Spirit showed someone a piece of information about their family. This information was told to them by showing them something. Years passed. The family situation changed. Now the information given in the Spirit was a reality. The Holy Spirit showed me something Friday. Sometimes when He gives us a word, or shows us something, it is only a minute part of the picture. He then proceeded by His Spirit to tell me that this situation as well as anything associated with it is under His control. I guess I had not thought like this for this problem. And whatever else comes will be okay. He has it under control even if it does not seem like it. I have to remember this. Now, from the time He shows, or tells us something, is the beginning of learning and growth on our part. This is on the job-situation - training. For what He told or showed us, He is faithful to complete what He has begun in and around us.

As He is, so can we become like Him in character, personality, feelings; but we need to want what He wants. As we include Him in every thought and minute, He will guide us through our problems to bring answers to us and blessings to Him.
